RIP camera, 2007-2010.

My camera died on Tuesday! It was working perfectly the last time I used it but now it refuses to power up. I ordered a new battery which will be here sometime next week however I think it may be more than a problem with the battery. The shutters on my camera model typically fail after about 30k shots and I have taken close to that.

If the new battery doesn't fix the problem I will probably purchase a new one but it's probably going to be 1-2 weeks before I can do that so there will be no outfit posts until then! Hopefully y'all will stick around.

I really have some catching up to do on everyone's blogs because I haven't been online too much lately. Honestly I spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday sulking (yes, about a camera! I think of it as a close friend) so I will use the extra time to do this.
I am also going to write a few non-OOTD posts and I will be announcing the giveaway winners this weekend! I'm looking forward to catching up on everyone's blogs and seeing all of the cute outfits you girls have been wearing.

Before I go I just wanted to share a video with all of you. My blog is mentioned in it but I promise that's not the reason that i'm posting it here!
The aim of their YouTube channel is to try and help other men with body issues and low confidence. Even though I struggled with accepting my body and building my confidence for a long time, there were definitely resources to help me with that. I don't think there is quite as much out there for guys which is why I love this idea so much. I hope that any guys who stumble upon my blog will join them.


(I wasn't asked to advertise this by the way, I just feel strongly about body acceptance for both genders!)

  1. I'm really sorry for your camara dear. I do understand the sulking. When my first camara died i was going insane and dad had to buy me the one i have. Even knowing mine is not a DSLR,i would die if Pixie died (yes,i named my camara).

  2. It's only been a couple of days and I feel like i'm going insane too! I see so many things and think "if only I had my camera!"
    I have been using my film SLR's a little more but they aren't really good for blog pictures since none have working self timers.

  4. As soon as I can afford it I am getting myself a new camera with more bells and whistles... I love my point and shoot but I want something that will take clearer pics and has better settings! Hopefully a new battery works for you!! It sucks when they crap out on ya!....

  5. Sorry to hear about your camera. But I'm so glad you posted something for the guys, because there definitely aren't enough resources for the males in regards to body image. The media has always been hard on women...but now the guys are getting a lot of pressure to have six pack abs and look perfect as well.

    And since I'm a new follower of your blog...I have to say that your pictures are gorgeous!!! :o)

  6. Let me get to the other issue first. You are beautiful the way you are. You are a beautiful young goddess with a wonderful heart. Now, on to the camera. I am sorry about your camera. Hope you're able to get a new one or maybe get your current camera fixed. I've been reading your blog since you've followed me on Twitter, and your pictures and outfits are lovely.   22. My camera had battery problems once while i was on a vacation, it was really depressing. Your camera is really pretty and that's a very nice picture btw!
