Some of my pictures are a little darker than others, i'm still trying to find the best settings to use on my external flash with this new camera!
I believe that if you love something you shouldn't let your weight or shape hold you back from wearing it. I purchased this skirt from ASOS during the Christmas season last year, I obsessed over it for weeks before I actually decided to purchase it. I like how the sequins actually stay on the skirt rather than fall off, I have a pink sequin dress and every time I wear it I leave a trail of sequins behind me! I wasn't planning on wearing this again until the Christmas season since it's quite glitzy but I changed my mind today when I was picking out an outfit to wear to the bar/club.
Summer is almost over so I am planning on making a few changes to how I look! Firstly I am growing my eyebrows thicker. I have been growing them out for a few weeks and I am very tempted to pluck them every time I look in the mirror but even my mom commented that they were too thin so I am trying to resist the urge to tidy them up!
I also want to get my hair cut and colored. I mentioned before that I wanted to go back to my natural color (and spent a year growing it out!) however I think a darker brown will look much better. Plus I found my first grey hair last week which made me dislike my hair even more! I am thinking about going for a dark brown with honey colored highlights, or maybe even medium brown highlights. I don't want anything that looks too OTT, just something to give my hair a little more life.
Are any of you lovely girls planning on changing your look a little for the coming season?
xoxo

the skirt is not so much my cuppa tea but you rock it, lady! and I loooooove the shoes! wish I could wear high heels!
ReplyDeleteI love this style too! My body's a bit awkward and I still love these dresses and skirts!
ReplyDeleteAnd to be honest, you look awesome. Rly <3
xoxo
I love you in that skirt! Too cute. You should never save your sequins for Christmas - I say wear them all year round and own it!
ReplyDeleteI'm debating with my own style. I really want to dye my hair lilac or orange or grey right now but that will require some serious colour stripping... sigh.

I love the outfit... but anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE shoes... and those shoes... are killing me girl... ME WANT!!!
ReplyDeletei love your sequins!
ReplyDeletehere's 4 other uses for them: http://thegloss.com/fashion/allie-brosh-presents-4-totally-legitimate-uses-for-sequins/
:)
girlie, this skirt is superb - and you rock the curves!
ReplyDeletehair wise, hmmm - I'm in exactly the same boat - trying to grow my blonde out, but my root colour is a bit glum looking, so thinking dark brown and blonde highlights - but just at the front,
love that we're coming in to autumn though! - boots and coats, happy happy!

oh girl. you are rocking that skirt! it looks amazing on you. & i really want to cut my hair & get bangs before it turns cold ..but i am a chicken and it takes like 3 years to go it out again. so we will see. xoox
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is fab! I love it!

Stiletto
THAT SKIRT LOOKS FAB ON YOU!!!
ReplyDeletethis outfit is amazing, you look so good!
ReplyDeletei'm growing my hair another few inches and i want to get a bettie page fringe cut in for A/W. I've wanted one for so long but fringes & hot weather don't mix (sweaty fringe sticking to face is not pretty) so i'm waiting till it cools off a bit.
: )
xx
I'm having about an inch or two off the bottom of my hair tomorrow as it really badly needs a cut (I think it's like 6 months or more since i had it cut)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of having it shaped a bit too so that I can wear it down more and things like that but i'm not really sure because I might need to straighten it every day to get the layers to work lol.
Love that skirt, really suits you! Killer shoes too.
ReplyDeleteI recently tried to grow out my hair to my natural light brown but gave up and went chocolate brown again. Dark browns are great for autumn/winter!

ReplyDeleteCute outfit, love the shoes!
ReplyDeleteOh Dear Lord those shoes....I would sleep in them!!!!
ReplyDelete(And the skirt is adorable =)
nice colors!!! already follow your blog :)
ReplyDeleteI think you are the cutest ever! You remind me of a sweet doll. Innocent face with way cuter clothes than any baby doll I ever owned!
ReplyDeleteLove those shoes! BANGIN!!!
My hair color usually changes with the season, but I've been dark all summer so I won't have to do much. Maybe i'll add some highlights and warm it up a bit. I grew my brows out cause they were much too thin from my last threading and although my eye brows aren't thick, the stray hairs are driving me nuts!
You look fantastic! Awesome outfit - I wish I owned a skirt like that :D
ReplyDeleteTotally know what you mean about wearing form-fitting clothes instead of swimming in them. I have days when I wanna do one or the other.
I just got my hair cut and I hate it. It's a lot shorter and I just feel lost with the length - lost and a little out of proportion. I took about 4 fingers worth off my longest layer so it's all pretty much the same length. I'm planning on growing it long again now :)
These shoes are KILLLLER. You look amazing :) I just read through your posts and I have to say, you inspire me. I love every word that you write! You make me feel better empowered.
ReplyDeleteOmg, love that skirt. then i got to the shoes, i think i am in love with them even more. hot hot outfit!
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of all the great clothes you have - I'd love to own a pretty sparkly skirt like that!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY need a haircut right now - but I am trying to decide if I should get it cut in Seoul before I leave or in Auckland.
My hair is naturally mousey brown so I usually dye it black or super dark brown but I feel like adding some cute foils or something for autumn.

Fab outfit, perfect for a night out! You have the most amazing shoes!
ReplyDeleteYour skirt is so much fun! You look fierce my dear!
ReplyDeleteYour skirt is too awesome! Shiny, sparkly, pink - what's not to love?
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on making a couple changes. I definitely want to change some of my wardrobe - I have stuff that I keep wearing because well, it fits me and it's in good condition. But I don't really like it. So I am going to try to stop forcing myself to wear things I don't like. I've been ripping pages out of magazines for outfit inspiration because I want to define my style a bit better. And I have a hair appointment for Thursday to switch my hair up a little! But it will be a surprise :)
those shoes and skirt are divine! great look babe :)

You're encouraging me to start online shopping for clothes! Gah, the only US store I feel I have is Torrid but there's only so much you can get from them. HELP! What stores ship to the US that carry sizes 18 (US)?
