(PJ's, not an actual outfit - don't worry! But just incase you're wondering: ♥ Barbie shorts: Topshop *** Sweater: Victorias Secret PINK *** Tank Top: American Eagle *** Socks: Primark ♥ )
I have really big love handles that probably make my butt look much larger than it is. My thighs are flabby and meet at the top. Overall, my legs are shaped like an upside-down triangle. I have bingo wings that resemble jelly when I shake 'em. Everything I eat goes straight to my belly. My body is not proportioned very well at all. But you know what? I wouldn't change a single thing.
I have been 50lbs lighter and found just as many "faults" with my body then too. Truth is, no matter what size you are, you will always want what you don't have. Nobody is perfect. It took me a long time but I love and accept my body. Sure, it gets frustrating when I go shopping and my belly gets in the way of me wearing certain clothes or shopping at certain stores, but I think life is far too short to get hung up on hating yourself. You are so much more than the size tag on your favorite dress. Each and every one of you are beautiful. You don't need to be "lookbook thin" to appreciate and enjoy fashion.
xoxo

Love this post! You look fabulous in those pictures and i totally agree with everything you've said, i would be considered plus size in the blogging world, but i don't let it affect me, yes i'd love to lose a bit of weight but i'm not going to let it rule my life!

ReplyDeletexx
Great post! Thanks to people like you I am less insecure about my body too :)
ReplyDeleteAwww this is super cute :) I used to be hung up about myself a lot a couple of years ago. The boyfriend at the time would always tell me I was beautiful but I never believed him but then I just kinda grew out of "Ohh I'm so ugly nobody would want me" attitude, now I couldn't really care haha it's so weird how things work out. Your a trooper and a real inspiration :)

Lovely Post!!! cute that everything is so pink and colourful:)
ReplyDeletegreat post :D
ReplyDeleteYou rock!!!
ReplyDeleteNothing is sexier than just being a cool chick who chooses to embrace life as it is, rather than getting sucked in the endless story lines of insecurities (which we all have, and always will have, even if we were to be Hollywoord gorgeous, so why get obsessed about it?).
And I needed reminding because I am guilty of not believing my sweets when he tells me he loves me & finds me sexy, even now that I am aging & getting big fast. Thank you for reminding me that we all are truly beautiful!
i love this post - you really are inspiring to everyone who feels they have some hangups with their body.
ReplyDeletereally lovely pictures, and keep up your wonderful work, i love to read this.

i love this post. you look awesome on the pictures :)
ReplyDelete( and I love your bed linen :D )
Even in PJs you look so dolled up.
ReplyDeleteYour expression in the first pic is awesome! Yeah, I was more concerned with tummy flattening whositwhatsits when I was a size 4 than I am now at an 8/10. I tell my mom (who is ~92 lbs) that so long as I'm healthy, it doesn't matter that I'm 1.5 times her size. Of course, I'm on cholesterol medicine now, but that's partly hereditary--from her side.
ReplyDeleteThanks for an uplifting post!
Well said!
ReplyDeleteVery well said! It's great to see women who love their bodies! You look amazing in these pictures by the way! I love how pink everything is :)

You are so inspiring, I love your words and what you have to say about body image. It is so true, we all want what we can't have, and it is a waste of time to put too much energy into that train of thought. Hmmmmm I could totally take a pointer or two from this blog post of yours...thanks

ReplyDeleteLove your Hello Kitty bedding btw! :) xx
I have only recently come to your blog and I think it's fabulous! I am a very similar body shape to yourself and I always had the same thoughts when I've been losing weight in the past "I'll be happier with myself when I'm slimmer, if only my belly was smaller I'd like my body sooo much more" but after loosing 45lbs I was still as fed up with my body.
ReplyDeleteNow I eat well and exercise so I feel healthier and to help with my diabetes, but I never weigh myself. The only scale I measure myself on is the scale of hot to hotter :D
I think you look stunning and have incredible style and, as I said, I love your blog!
