♥ Dress: Dunnes *** Sandals: Topshop *** Jewelery: Primark ♥
Hey folks! It looks like I took a little break from blogging this week, and I kind of did..but not really. I logged in a couple of nights ago to make a post but blogger was down, and it was down the next day too for maintenance or something. I'm sure the whole blogging world (myself included) were freaking out! I know a couple of gals lost some of their entries, thankfully I didn't, but I did (unfortunately) lose a few of the most recent comments. I had read all of them though and appreciate them!
The outfit I wore today was basic and really didn't match with the weather. Our weather has been kind of crazy lately, raining one minute and sunshine the next. That said, this is the first "paperbag" style dress that I own and I couldn't wait any longer to wear it. If i'm honest, I don't really like how it looks on me. I have an odd body shape - wide upper body and my tiny/almost invisible waist hits all of a sudden like BAM, plus my hips are also wide. I feel like this dress made my awkward body shape look even more awkward if that's possible! I think it shows in my pictures that I wasn't comfortable but I didn't have time to re-take them! I do love the chambray skirt on the dress, and the material is very soft and easy to wear so i'm hoping I can find a wide tan belt that will cover the "paperbag" part of the dress. The belt was a little tight which is a shame because I bought the dress in size UK 18 so you would think they would give a large belt, but the belt on all of the dresses is the same length. So my conclusion...I love the dress, hate the waist!
If any Irish gals are looking for this dress, its on sale right now in Dunnes! For some reason they aren't including the belts with the dresses on sale but skinny tan belts are cheap and in most high street stores at the minute.
I began level 3 of the "30 day shred" today. I think you're supposed to do each level for ten days but I get so bored once I reach day 5 or 6! I feel a little bit crazy when I realize that I know all of the words and say "I just saw you sink down! What are you doing back here?!" with Jillian. I had to move to the next level (both times) on day 8. There hasn't been a change in my arms (yet) which is slightly disappointing because that's my main reason for doing the shred! I have noticed a small difference in my mid/lower back and also my upper stomach/abs area which is better than nothing! I'll continue to do it until day 30 anyways, just because I don't want to give up when I have come this far! If anyone has any tips on toning upper arms I would really appreciate it! I don't want big muscles like Madonna and I don't mind if my arms are still "big" - but firmer and less flabby would be nice.
Also good luck to Jedward who are representing Ireland in the Eurovision song contest as I write this. I know they're like marmite - you love 'em or hate 'em but you can't deny that they're pretty entertaining. I met them back in January and they were lovely guys, really not as "dumb blonde" as they portray themselves in the media!
If you're watching the Eurovision song contest, who do you want to win?
xoxo

OOTD: Early summer

I love the Chambray skirting too, it looks lovely and summery, especially paired with a tan sandal. Definitely want to get a 30 Day Shred DVD... I keep forgetting to order one, eep! And I totes want Jedward to win, they're so adorable and energetic! xx
ReplyDeletecute look :)
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous, I don't think your body looks awkward at all! Even though I'm English and should be supporting blue, I'd love Jedward to win! I saw them live on the X Factor tour but lucky you for actually meeting them, there so fun! Love them :').

I really like the dress, and I don't think the paperbag style looks bad on you, but ultimately it's your decision.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually cheering on Ireland and Sweeden, I loke Jedward! But as usual Eurovision is all about sharing the love with the neighboring countries, and to hell with the songs.
I think you look great in this outfit sometimes something simple is all you need I love th shoes.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely as always in that outfit. I've heard about that challenge don't have the will power to do it, nor wear something as cute and girly in all the rain and thunder storms we have been getting. I'm super dissapointed with how everyone voted for jedward! i'm not a fan but i thought they did great x
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit my lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh, I was SO upset with the Eurovision, they may as well scrap it as no one votes on talent, it's all political and they all vote for their neighbouring countries, urgh :S xo
I always seem to tone parts of my body I don't want too. Been going to the gym for a while now and it seems my legs just get more muscular and my arms aren't changing that much. Which is annoying because I want to tone my arms!
ReplyDeleteI do love your sandals!
love the whole outfit~ it looks so fresh and young :)

What an adorable outfit, you look absolutely darling. Your necklace is so cute. XX
ReplyDeleteAh, I´ve got problems with my arms as well. I managed to get quite big muscles when I was gym obssessed a couple of years ago and for some reason my arm muscles remembered it and any time I exercise them now, they grow like crazy. I´m trying to do light weights and just the easier pushups but still feel like my muscles are growing rather than just getting kinda long and firm.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I would recommend keeping up with the shred and maybe concentrating a bit more on your arms - just doing a couple more arm exercises with light weights on top of the shred, that should help.
I really like your sandals btw, they look great on you! x
Call me crazy.. but push ups !
ReplyDeleteOr gym for half an hour to do arm exercises..
I love the outfit, I don't think it looks awkward on you at all !

You should try Davina McCall's 'High energy five' DVD. If you do the Boxing & Arms sections regularly you really do notice a difference. They only take about 15mins each so its just half an hour every two days or so. The rest of the sections are quite good to!
ReplyDeleteLove those sandals!
ReplyDeleteI love Jedward, they love Britney even more than I do. I voted for them, I thought they did a great job. Also a few of the lads from Denmark were easy on the eye!
