OOTD: I now own a pair of jeans!

Blogger went down when I made my last post but thankfully seems to be restored now. This title is stolen from a post I made last year called "I now own a pair of pants". Truthfully, I didn't wear the pants a second time and I probably won't wear these jeans a second time but its still fun to switch things up a little now and then! Back in my youth (gosh, I sound like an old lady!) I loved to wear skinny jeans. I followed the whole "emo" and "scene" trends so I had about twenty pairs of black skinny jeans which all looked identical. I think wearing jeans every day for so long caused me to dislike them now.
A couple of months ago I had a gift card for American Eagle and I was struggling to find something to spend my last couple of dollars on when I spotted these babies on sale. They were $49.95 originally but they were marked down and AE had an additional promotion with 30% extra off all clearance items, so they were only about $15 in the end. I'm not a jeans-and-teeshirt kind of gal, and probably never will be. Even though I paired the jeans with flats, I think my top dressed the outfit up a little! I read reviews about AE jeans fitting small so I sized up by two sizes just to be safe. My jeans are a size US 16 which is a UK 20! I am definitely not a size 20 so just a heads up to anyone thinking about ordering from them. The top is a purchase from New Look a couple of months ago and they currently have them back in stock in various colors. It sits slightly awkwardly on my belly but the little ruffles along the neckline are too cute!

This week has been much better than last, today being the first day of June has helped too. June is one of my favorite months of the year, I just love how perfect and calm everything feels before the big summertime rush. I'm considering going to the city for a night or two next week to meet with some old friends and probably pamper myself a little bit too! I shouldn't be spending money right now as I am trying to save but I think its just what I need.

Slightly off topic but did any of you girls see the older lady playing the keyboard on Britains Got Talent? She is all kinds of adorable! I don't follow the show but I seen a short clip and she definitely stole my heart.

PS. I finished the 30 day shred a couple of days ago so i'll be posting a full review of it soon! I am very happy with the results overall, the only place I didn't see a huge change was my upper arms (the part I wanted to "target" most, grrr!) but it was still worth it.
