Pretty frocks

I was going to make this a "haul" type post but I thought a little glimpse would be more exciting as these dresses will be making an appearance in outfits on here pretty soon! I can't wait to wear them. I haven't been shopping for a while so I was very excited to get some new dresses and the ones I stumbled upon are very "me". Lace, bows, pleats, crochet... dreamy. They make for lovely pictures, too!

Hi everyone! It feels like ages since I last updated here even though it hasn't been that long. Unfortunately I am still without a computer but my new laptop is ordered and should arrive sometime next week so things should "pick up" around here again soon!
I often get asked where I bought a certain thing and even though I always mention the brand underneath my pictures, it never really occurred to me that not everyone will know of those brands. As of today, I will link to the website (or to the exact item where possible)

The blouse i'm wearing today is probably my favorite purchase of the summer along with those espadrille wedges. I love the lace they used to make it, it reminds me of curtains my grandmother had when I was little. I know, I know, who wants to wear grandma-curtains, right? Well, I do! The pretty chiffon bow on the front really sold it to me though. The skirt is a really old purchase that I had never worn. I purchased it about two years ago then tried it on and decided I looked like something that belonged in a zoo so I quickly tossed it to the back of my closet. I guess I kept it all this time for a reason because I adore it now! My wedges don't match up exactly color-wise, but they are the most comfortable shoes I own and comfort was a little more important today.

Hey loves! Just a super quick outfit post as i'm in a rush. I have been wearing teeshirt-leggings-UGG outfits for most of the past week (I have an excuse though, i'm sick! I seem to be sick a lot..) but decided to make a little effort today. I got this dress back at the beginning of summer, I think it came in a couple of other colors too. I wanted the brown/cream one after seeing it online but went into Topshop and picked up this color instead because it suits me better. I got these wedges in Primark recently, they were the last pair on the shelf and priced at twenty five euros however when the lady scanned them in they were on sale for nine euros! What a bargain, they're very comfortable too. I'm considering never paying full price for shoes in Primark again as all of my favorites end up going on sale anyways!

Pretty pastel blouses

My obsession with pastels continues, however there is something else I am really enjoying right now and that is... blouses! It all began with a nude colored pussybow blouse I purchased in Primark last winter. Before then I thought blouses were slightly masculine (I know, I know..silly! Its the whole button up shirt thing, I suppose) however I now love them and want to own one of every kind! Scalloped collars, bows, peterpan collars, pussybow..I love them all. Above are a few of my favorites currently on the highstreet. I probably won't get to own all of them (darn my lack of funds!) but i'm aiming for one or two!

What do you think of blouses? Are there too many in stores right now or do you love them as much as I do?

OOTD: best I ever had

We had plenty of sunshine today (which is rare this summer!) so I decided to throw on this pretty frock which has been sitting at the bottom of my closet for a year or so. I'm not too sure why I haven't worn it sooner because I adore it! The lace is perfect. Its a teeny bit too big in places, which I can fix easily with my sewing machine. Dressing an apple shaped body is somewhat frustrating at times - having to go up sizes to accommodate my belly which leaves extra fabric in other areas. It was also my first time to wear these heels that I purchased from New Look back in May or June. I prefer higher shoes but the floral print was too lovely to pass up! On a side note, I can't believe I forgot to take a close up picture of my hair clip - it was my favorite part of this outfit.

Usually I take my outfit photographs at the end of the day but today I took them in the early hours of the morning and was very thankful I did so! I realized how awfully unflattering those wedges are to my already-short legs! They make me look so "stumpy". I will probably swap them with a pair of blush pink heels before I go out. I am in love with the ring i'm wearing today, I bought it in Primark for three or four euros. I buy most of my jewelery in Primark because its cheap and similar quality to the Freedom at Topshop accessories that I used to buy (for 1/5th of the price!) They have some other pretty rings in stock right now too, I hope to pick up a few more before they sell out.

My laptop broke a couple of days ago (black screen of death, boo!) and really couldn't of happened at a worse time. I lost all of the fonts I had purchased and the programs I use too. I have to borrow pc's/laptops to update my blog right now because i'm not sure when i'll be able to afford a new one, sadly!
